Our project network

There are a number of ways that you can get involved in the Close the Gap project.

If you are a student

Close the Gap was designed in consultation with prospective and current students at Oxford and Cambridge Universities from groups who face discrimination, and is engaging and working in consultation and cooperation with postgraduates from these groups in each phase of its implementation.

Student Consulting Group

We have established a joint Oxford and Cambridge Student Consulting Group and are developing a number of opportunities to engage with students from groups who face discrimination, including through paid internships / other funded opportunities at key stages.

If you work in the Higher Education sector

For those working in the Higher Education sector, we set up a Sector Network Group.

Sector Network Group

We are establishing a Sector Network Group of colleagues from across the Higher Education sector with an interest in challenging, supporting or otherwise participating in the work of Close the Gap, including those who work in this or related areas of access or participation support for postgraduate students. We are also very keen to hear from universities outside the UK who have experimented with or implemented alternative or holistic applicant selection models.
