How to get involved

Expand All

We have established a Sector Network of colleagues from across the Higher Education sector with an interest in challenging, supporting or otherwise participating in the work of Close the Gap, including those who work in this or related areas of access or participation support for postgraduate students.

We are also very keen to hear from universities outside the UK who have experimented with or implemented alternative or holistic applicant selection models.

Students play an essential role in Close the Gap and we very much welcome their involvement. Close the Gap was designed in consultation with prospective and current students at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, from groups who face discrimination, and is engaging and working in consultation and cooperation with postgraduates from these groups in each phase of its implementation.

We are engaging with students at every stage of the project and have developed a number of opportunities to engage with students from groups who face discrimination, including through paid internships and other funded opportunities during the different phases of the project. Check the News and resources page to find out about upcoming paid opportunities.

Details of upcoming events will be posted here.
